External Sales Engineer - Process Instrumentation

About the role

An external sales engineer position based in Angola for a candidate with a strong external technical sales background. The role focuses on customer-facing selling of process instrumentation, including presentations and product demonstrations, and works closely with customers across industrial process environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage customer relationships through regular external sales visits and call planning.
• Engage with process control and manually operated valves in customer discussions.
• Work with clients across industries such as chemical, petrochemical, power, mining, food and beverage, paper, pulp, sugar, cement, air separation and pharmaceutical.
• Deliver customer presentations and product demonstrations explaining technical instrumentation solutions.
• Develop and implement account plans, forecasts and reports, and maintain accurate records in a CRM.
• Support customers on process instrumentation applications, including flow, level, pressure, moisture and humidity measurement, and gas analyzer applications where relevant.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar external sales role.
• Experience in technical sales with customer presentations and product demonstrations.
• Based in Angola.
• Preferred: strong technical background in process instrumentation and experience with process control instruments for flow, level, pressure, moisture and humidity measurement, and gas analyzer applications.
• Preferred: experience in the listed industries and knowledge of process control and manually operated valves.
• Preferred: experience developing account plans, forecasts, reports and call plans; CRM experience.
