Well Integrity Engineer – Luanda, Angola

About the role

We are looking for a Resident Well Integrity Engineer to join our team in Luanda. The role covers the entire well lifecycle, from drilling through to abandonment, ensuring integrity and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor integrity status of active and inactive wells across multiple fields.
• Conduct well integrity risk assessments and root‑cause analyses of failures.
• Review well schematics, pressure, temperature and corrosion logs to evaluate barrier effectiveness.
• Develop and update Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS) in line with NORSOK D‑010, ISO 16530 and company standards.
• Provide technical support for remedial operations, including workovers, interventions and abandonment.
• Participate in well integrity audits and prepare regulatory compliance submissions.
• Collaborate with drilling, completions, production and HSE teams to ensure safe well operations.
• Use well integrity software and databases to track anomalies and performance metrics.
• Lead training and awareness programs on well integrity for field personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in well integrity, well operations or completions engineering.
• Strong knowledge of completions, pressure testing, annular pressure management and barrier philosophy.
• Experience with offshore and/or onshore regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, documentation and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
