Operations Engineer

About the role

The Operations Engineer ensures safe and continuous running of onshore and offshore operations for SBM Offshore. The role focuses on coordinating daily activities, optimizing processes, and supporting both onshore and offshore teams while meeting budgetary constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily operational activities at the shorebase.
• Monitor and optimise operational processes for efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to onshore and offshore teams.
• Liaise with logistics, maintenance and production departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement.
• Analyse operational data and prepare management reports.
• Participate in planning and execution of projects and shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to secure necessary materials and services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations applicable to oil and gas operations.
