Logistics Officer

About the role

As a Logistics Officer at SBM Offshore, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials, equipment and supplies to offshore and onshore project sites. You will ensure that shipments are planned, scheduled and delivered on time while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage offshore and onshore logistics, coordinating timely shipments to remote locations.
• Plan and schedule shipments to meet inventory levels required for projects and operations.
• Liaise with suppliers, service providers and transport companies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Support logistics data analysis to optimise costs and improve processes.
• Handle customs clearance and maintain vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or inventory management, preferably in oil & gas or related industries.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage shipping, inventory and documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics software.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures.
• Inventory management expertise.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
