Well Engineer II – Operations

About the role

Halliburton is seeking an experienced Well Engineer II to lead process implementation for proposals, Basis of Design, and operation programs related to well engineering and intervention. The role ensures technical integrity, continuous improvement, and safe, cost‑effective execution of well operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement processes for proposals, Basis of Design, and operation programs.
• Maintain technical integrity of operations planning and execution.
• Produce End‑of‑Well reports and incorporate lessons learned.
• Create, approve, and control budgets through Approval for Expenditure (AFE) management.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Forecast medium‑ and long‑term resource needs and adjust plans accordingly.
• Coordinate daily morning meetings, monitor operational changes, and revise plans.
• Evaluate performance against goals and conduct engineering studies to solve recurring issues.
• Prepare equipment lists and identify long‑lead items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of well services experience.
• Well supervisory experience and exposure to multi‑discipline operations preferred.
• Valid Well Control Certificate.
