Volunteer – Consumer Goods & Retail Research Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a motivated volunteer to support our consumer goods and retail insight initiatives. This full‑time remote position involves gathering market data, reviewing industry reports and helping to turn findings into clear summaries for internal and external use.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and organize market data from online sources and industry publications.
• Review and synthesize reports to identify key trends and insights.
• Draft brief analyses, update presentations and maintain research documents.
• Support virtual meetings and workshops by taking notes and following up on actions.
• Collaborate with team members using digital collaboration tools and meet agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Interest in consumer goods, retail markets and business insights.
• Academic background or practical experience in business, marketing, economics or related fields (optional).

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
• Experience using video‑conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
• Familiarity with cloud‑based shared drives and collaboration tools.
