Turbine Supervisor – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking an experienced Turbine Supervisor to lead maintenance and troubleshooting activities on turbine‑driven equipment in Angola. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient operation of turbo‑generators and turbo‑compressors while supporting the overall performance of the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with QHSSE rules, Permit to Work (PTW) and site operating procedures during all maintenance activities.
• Organise, plan and supervise maintenance and troubleshooting on turbo‑generators (Nuovo Pignone MS5001) and turbo‑compressors (Thermodyn RC/RB) and associated auxiliary systems.
• Provide technical support for scope definition, resource planning and intervention strategies.
• Lead field teams during interventions, guaranteeing adherence to procedures, quality standards and operational priorities.
• Take ownership of turbine systems during breakdowns, diagnose faults quickly and restore normal operation with minimal production impact.
• Manage specialised tools and equipment, ensuring availability and proper use.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, conduct failure analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Identify recurrent failures, perform root‑cause analysis and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation teams for integrated system performance and safe restarts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance of turbo‑generators and turbo‑compressors.
• Strong understanding of QHSSE, PTW processes and industrial safety standards.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary field teams and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and capacity to work under pressure.
