Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Hikvision is looking for a Technical Support Engineer who works closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and deliver technical solutions for security and access control projects. The role covers project support, customer communication, training, documentation and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to understand customer needs and analyse their business and technical requirements.
• Design technical plans including system architecture, function design and integration plan, and provide professional technical advice.
• Develop reasonable technical solutions according to customer needs and budget, and support project implementation.
• Carry out product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
• Solve technical problems and answer technical questions raised by customers during project implementation.
• Train clients on the technical knowledge needed for the project.
• Write technical documents recording technical details and solutions, and take part in quality control.
• Report problems encountered, propose improvements and optimise the project process.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of experience.
• Interest in product selection and solution design, and willingness to handle both pre-sales and after-sales support.
• Exposure to project management concepts or academic projects is a plus.
• Strong communication, public speaking and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable creating presentations and basic technical documentation.
• Eager to stay up to date with new technologies and trends.
• Logical thinker with problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for technical troubleshooting.
• Responsible, motivated and eager to grow in their role.

Required skills

• Basic familiarity with CCTV, access control, intercom or related ELV systems and products.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; experience writing test reports or feedback is an advantage.
