Service Sales Specialist

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Service Sales Specialist to drive business growth for its rotating equipment services across Sub‑Saharan Africa. You will act as the primary customer‑facing representative, combining technical expertise with sales acumen to win new contracts and deepen existing relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Sell products, services, parts, solutions, and projects within the Sub‑Saharan Africa region.
• Provide technical analysis and adapt sales processes to client conditions, focusing on compressors, turbines and other rotating equipment.
• Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop proposals that consider technical, economic, logistical and financial aspects in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key clients in the business unit.
• Coordinate commercial and application teams and work closely with engineering, legal, risk and finance departments.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial or energy services.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Proven problem‑analysis skills and a track record of leading programs or projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time.
