Senior Offshore QC Inspector (CSWIP 3.2 Certified)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Offshore QC Inspector, certified to CSWIP 3.2, to lead quality control, structural and piping inspection, and NDT monitoring on offshore brownfield and greenfield projects in Angola.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and witness visual inspections of structural steelwork, pressure piping, and welds before, during, and after welding.
• Verify welding procedures (WPS, PQR) and welder qualifications against AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API 1104, and ASME B31.3 standards.
• Supervise third‑party NDT contractors (radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant) and interpret their reports.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, punch lists, NCRs and maintain traceability logs.
• Ensure compliance with offshore HSE procedures, permit‑to‑work systems and coordinate with production managers and client representatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8–10 years of QC/QA experience in offshore oil & gas platform construction and modification.
• Valid CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector certification (active and verified by TWI).
• Current BOSIET/FOET, OGUK medical certificate, international passport and yellow‑fever vaccination.
• Fluent English; Portuguese or French is an advantage.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.2 welding inspection.
• Non‑Destructive Testing supervision (radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant).
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME VIII, ASME IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104 and ISO 9001.
• Inspection of duplex, super‑duplex, carbon steel and alloy piping.
