Senior Manager – Commercial Finance & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Commercial Finance & Financial Reporting to join our fast‑paced finance leadership team in Luanda. The role combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business partnering to drive growth, profitability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and variance analysis.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations and Business Leaders to improve profitability, optimise pricing and support strategic decisions.
• Deliver financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment appraisals for commercial initiatives.
• Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Drive process improvements, ERP optimisation, reporting automation and strong financial controls.
• Coordinate statutory audits, regulatory compliance and financial governance.
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A or financial reporting.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, financial consolidation and month‑end close.
• Proven business partnering and profitability analysis experience.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, industrial or commodity trading sectors is a plus.
