Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead financial operations using SAP Business One. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll in SAP B1.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies, international accounting standards, and Angolan regulations.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure correct inventory valuation and cost accounting.
• Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, cash forecasting, and working‑capital optimization.
• Conduct internal audits to detect and correct discrepancies.
• Provide management with financial analysis, KPI reporting, and performance metrics.
• Support statutory audit, tax filing, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Stay updated on financial regulations, SAP B1 enhancements, and train stakeholders as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Professional certifications (MCOM‑MBA Finance, CMA‑inter, CA‑inter) are highly desirable.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation skills.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP Business One (SAP B1) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
