Senior Accountant – Angola

About the role

ARV Companies is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead financial operations in its Angola hub. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting entries, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting strategic decisions through financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain P&L and balance‑sheet accounts, verify, record and reconcile transactions, and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage budgets, conduct financial analysis, forecasting, investigate variances and provide recommendations.
• Monitor project costings, analyze performance and ensure correct cost entry in the Odoo system.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
• Verify sales invoices, update customer balances and manage accounts receivable.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI.
• Google Sheets.
• Solid knowledge of financial accounting, general‑ledger reconciliation and month‑end/year‑end closing processes.
