Rigging and Lifting Supervisor

About the role

The Rigging and Lifting Supervisor leads a team responsible for safe shipboard deck maintenance, rigging, slinging, storage and moving loads on offshore installations. The role ensures compliance with international regulations, client standards and company procedures while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all crane, rigging and lifting tasks on site.
• Coach, mentor and train personnel performing crane and rigging operations.
• Develop, review and document lift plans and conduct task risk assessments.
• Act as the focal point for technical matters related to specification, procurement and integrity assurance of lifting equipment.
• Maintain effective communication, reporting to line and discipline managers and participate in lifting community meetings.
• Ensure safe systems of work are implemented and followed for all lifting activities.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in rigging, lifting or crane operations on offshore or marine vessels.
• Strong knowledge of international lifting regulations, best practices and company standards.
• Ability to lead, develop and coordinate a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Capacity to work under pressure while ensuring safety compliance.
