Rice Mill Operations Manager

About the role

The Rice Mill Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end rice production process, ensuring that raw paddy is transformed into high‑quality packed rice efficiently and safely. This position oversees all operational areas of the mill, from cleaning and dehusking to final packaging, while driving continuous improvement in yield and recovery rates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete rice production workflow, from paddy intake to finished packed rice.
• Manage cleaning, dehusking, separation, whitening, polishing, grading, sorting, and packing operations.
• Ensure optimal performance of milling and packing equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Monitor production quality, yield, and efficiency, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Supervise production staff, operators, and technicians, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Implement and maintain quality control and food safety standards.
• Control inventory of raw paddy, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Prepare regular production reports and performance metrics.
• Identify loss reduction opportunities and improve milling recovery rates.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in agricultural engineering, food processing, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a rice mill or grain‑processing facility.
• Strong knowledge of rice milling equipment and packing systems.
• Proven experience in production planning, quality assurance, and maintenance management.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management abilities.
