Project Manager – Survey Projects

About the role

The Project Manager III will lead the planning, execution, monitoring and closure of survey projects within the SSR Survey department. Working closely with the SSR Survey Manager (Africa) and the S&P Project Management Lead (EMEAA), you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and monitor project budgets, provide revenue and cost advice, and support forecasting.
• Develop and maintain resource‑loaded schedules with detailed work breakdown structures.
• Manage project teams, plan operations and supervise on‑site personnel.
• Liaise daily with stakeholders to identify and resolve issues or delays.
• Assist customers with design ideas, specifications and technical advice.
• Prepare presentations, support sales and marketing activities, and coordinate bids and proposals.
• Review and approve quality plans, technical procedures and project invoices.
• Produce project reports, forecasts and technical/financial documents for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality Management Systems and local regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in survey practice or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years experience managing survey projects (preferred).
• Valid passport and ability to obtain visas for international travel.
• BS in Geomatics, Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
• Industry‑approved Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) is desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
