Project Assistant – Health

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support public‑health activities in Angola, focusing on the "Iron Women: Safe Roads, Safe Lives" project that addresses sexual and reproductive health of women truck drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Retrieve, compile, summarize and present data on specific project topics.
• Monitor the project budget, verify fund availability, obtain approvals and update budget information.
• Coordinate administrative tasks, liaise with internal units and external partners, and process clearances.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables and presentations.
• Organise meetings, workshops, training sessions and field visits in the provinces.
• Respond to information requests, maintain files and records.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations or a related field.
• Experience or interest in public‑health projects is desirable.
• Strong analytical, reporting and organisational abilities.
