Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor ensures that all production activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with SBM Offshore’s management system. Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the role combines strong supervisory leadership with a focus on safety, training and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and enforce company Management System, COPs and prime policies.
• Ensure all personnel understand and apply safety procedures and permit‑to‑work (PTW) requirements.
• Drive training and competency development across the department.
• Lead incident investigation, review and reporting.
• Manage workload and operation of Production, Process and Utility systems through subordinate staff.
• Assess competence of team members using the company competence assurance system.
• Oversee probationary and annual appraisals, ensuring fairness and timeliness.
• Handle welfare and disciplinary matters in coordination with the Superintendent, OIM and Fleet HR.
• Maintain efficient operation of unit systems while respecting health‑and‑safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with risk assessments and verification procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrated supervisory, leadership and safety behaviours.
• Responsibility for safety, operational and maintenance aspects of production activities.
• Ability to supervise Production CCR, Operators, Lead Production Technicians, Production Technicians, visitors, vendor technicians and sub‑contractors.
• Strong competence assessment and appraisal skills.
• Capability to manage welfare, disciplinary issues and team performance.
