Procurement Specialist - Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

Azule Energy, an independent integrated energy company based in Angola and a joint venture between BP and Eni, is looking for a Procurement Specialist. The role manages end-to-end procurement of goods and services supporting oil and gas operations and projects, ensuring competitive, compliant and timely execution with appropriate governance, transparency and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement from request through tendering, evaluation, negotiation, award and contract handover
• Develop contracting and procurement strategies with internal stakeholders
• Prepare and issue RFIs, RFQs and ITTs with complete, commercially robust documentation
• Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations, including bid comparisons, benchmarking and total-cost assessments
• Negotiate pricing, terms, liabilities and payment terms with suppliers and contractors
• Prepare award recommendations, approval papers and supporting documentation
• Support the preparation, negotiation and award of contracts, purchase orders and amendments
• Work with Operations, Engineering, Projects, Drilling, Maintenance, Finance, Legal and HSE
• Conduct market intelligence, support supplier qualification and vendor performance management
• Identify procurement risks and supply constraints and monitor procurement schedules
• Maintain auditable records, promote ethical procurement and support cost optimization

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related field
• Professional experience in procurement, contracting or supply chain in oil & gas, energy, EPC or industrial sectors
• Experience managing competitive tenders and commercial evaluations
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Desirable: upstream oil & gas, EPC or oilfield services experience; SAP Ariba or SAP; Portuguese; Angola or similar oil & gas experience; CIPS or equivalent qualification

• Strong understanding of tender preparation, bid evaluation, negotiation and contract award
• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and other standard business applications
• Good understanding of contractual terms and commercial risk
