Planning Engineer (Offshore Projects)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of project schedules for offshore oil & gas initiatives, covering all phases from engineering through commissioning. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain overall and detailed schedules for engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.
• Manage schedules for assigned work packages, coordinating internal and external interfaces.
• Identify critical paths, key milestones and major constraints, updating schedules based on actual progress.
• Collect progress updates from engineering teams, contractors and suppliers, analyse deviations and propose mitigation actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for project management and support project reviews with clear deliverables.
• Work closely with Project Control, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Operations to ensure schedule consistency across new satellite developments and existing facilities.
• Contribute to schedule risk analysis and scenario planning to optimise timelines.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Master’s level preferred) with proven planning experience on offshore oil & gas projects, ideally deepwater or ultra‑deepwater.
• Experience with subsea developments (SPS, SURF, tie‑backs) is a strong asset.
• International project experience, preferably in Africa.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and proactive approach to schedule risks.
• Effective communication skills in multicultural environments; professional English required, French or Portuguese a plus.
