Offshore HSE Supervisor – Angola (4 weeks on/off)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Offshore HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety and environmental compliance on deepwater FPSO and offshore assets in Angola, working on a 4‑weeks on / 4‑weeks off rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day HSE performance, enforce Safe Systems of Work, Permit to Work, JSA and Isolation Management.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits and walk‑arounds across process decks, utility modules and maintenance zones.
• Lead pre‑job safety meetings, toolbox talks and risk assessments for high‑risk tasks such as hot work, rigging, confined space entry and work at heights.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses using root‑cause methods (5‑Whys, TapRooT, Kelvin TOP‑SET) and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure environmental compliance for waste, produced water, chemicals and emissions, and participate in emergency response drills.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s in Safety Management, Engineering or Environmental Science.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or Diploma (mandatory) and valid BOSIET with offshore medical.
• 7‑10 years HSE experience in upstream oil & gas, with 4‑5 years offshore construction/FPSO work.
• Fluency in English; Portuguese proficiency highly desirable.

Required skills

• Permit to Work, Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment and Isolation Management procedures.
• Heavy lifting/rigging, SIMOPS coordination, mechanical isolation, flaring/gas system safety.
• HAZOP, HAZID and BowTie risk assessment tools.
• Incident investigation methodologies (5‑Whys, TapRooT, Kelvin TOP‑SET).
