National AIC and CFS Consultant – Remote (7 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to lead the consolidation, documentation and sustainability of the AIC (Accelerating Innovation in Curriculum) and CFS (Child Friendly Schools) programmes in Huila and Cunene provinces, Angola. The role is remote and will run for seven months, supporting provincial and municipal education authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate results and document lessons learned from the CFS project before its 31 December closure.
• Ensure integration of project outcomes into government education systems and meet donor reporting requirements.
• Provide technical support and monitoring for the expanded AIC initiative in Cunene.
• Implement the Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy, facilitating community dialogues and parental engagement.
• Support the new “Libraries without Walls” component to improve community reading spaces.

Required profile

• Proven experience in education consultancy or programme implementation.
• Familiarity with AIC and CFS interventions and their impact on learning outcomes.
• Experience working with provincial or municipal education authorities and donor agencies.
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
