Logistics Officer

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Logistics Officer to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment for offshore and onshore projects. The role ensures timely shipments, maintains inventory levels, and supports the company’s commitment to safe and efficient energy production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute shipments to remote offshore and onshore sites.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet project and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, service providers and transport companies.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and customs procedures.
• Analyse logistics data to optimise costs and improve processes.
• Manage customs clearance and vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or inventory management, preferably in oil & gas or related industries.
• Proven ability to coordinate shipping, inventory and documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in expediting and contract management.
• Familiarity with purchasing tools and processes.
