Laboratory Technician

About the role

Nestlé Angola is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support food safety and product quality at its factory. The role involves executing sampling plans, performing laboratory analyses, and communicating results to aid decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Promote quality awareness, support hygiene and food‑safety competency development, and facilitate HACCP initiatives.
• Perform laboratory analyses according to established methods, ensure equipment calibration, and maintain accurate records.
• Interpret analytical results, guarantee repeatability and reproducibility, and support continuous‑excellence programs.
• Assist with internal and external audits, troubleshoot non‑conformities, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Technology or related field.
• 2–3 years of laboratory or analytical experience, preferably in FMCG or a factory environment.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and good communication skills.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Analytical methods and laboratory analysis techniques.
• Equipment calibration and routine verification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of HACCP and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
