IT Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to own the day‑to‑day administration, maintenance and support of our country‑level IT infrastructure. This hands‑on role covers Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, security and technical support, working closely with Group IT to implement global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Manage VMware vSphere / ESXi environments, perform upgrades, patching and monitoring.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive, and manage Entra ID and hybrid identity.
• Configure and support user devices via Microsoft Intune, ensuring security, compliance and lifecycle management.
• Maintain firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi and VPNs, and implement local security controls in line with Group IT standards.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support, troubleshoot complex server, network and endpoint issues, and handle incidents and service requests.
• Manage backup, disaster recovery solutions and conduct regular recovery tests.
• Support IT migrations, infrastructure deployments and technology projects, coordinating with Group IT and external providers.

Required profile

• Angolan nationality with fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues independently.
• Experience coordinating with Group IT, external service providers and technical vendors.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, networking or cybersecurity) are a plus.
