Inventory Controller – Projects & Machinery Receiving

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller with a Mechanical Engineering background to oversee the receipt, verification, storage, and tracking of industrial machinery and equipment for ongoing projects in Angola. The role works closely with project, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory control and support project mobilization.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify industrial machinery, equipment, and project materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Inspect received equipment for quantity, specifications, and visible damage.
• Maintain accurate records of project‑related inventory and equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Track movement and allocation of machinery and project materials.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of equipment.
• Conduct inventory audits and stock reconciliations.
• Prepare receiving reports and inventory status reports.
• Support project mobilization and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in inventory control, project logistics, or equipment receiving.
• Experience handling industrial projects, machinery, and engineering equipment.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, equipment specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Willingness to work in an industrial/project environment in Angola.
