Inspector I – Petroleum & Terminal Inspection

About the role

The Inspector I performs basic inspection work across petroleum, petrochemical, gas, grain, oils and fats terminals and refineries, as well as on barges and ships. The role follows industry standards published by API, Fosfa, Gafta and Saybolt, ensuring safety, quality and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior inspectors and account managers in daily inspection activities at various locations, including offshore sites.
• Conduct sampling, measurements and inspections on vessels and shore facilities under supervision.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, HSE policies, accounting rules and ethical standards.
• Report findings directly to Inspection Account Managers and ensure timely delivery of client requirements.
• Support cost‑control initiatives while preserving asset integrity and service quality.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as an inspector or in a related field.
• Good verbal and written proficiency in the local language and English.
• Ability to work independently and travel to different sites as needed.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
• Knowledge of sampling and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with API, Fosfa, Gafta and Saybolt inspection standards.
• Basic mathematical skills for calculations, ratios and conversions.
