In-Service Inspector (Asset Integrity Analyst)

About the role

The Asset Integrity Analyst is the technical authority for pressurised equipment, ensuring assets operate within acceptable health, safety and environmental risk levels. The role supports operations by developing corrective actions, managing inspection programs and mentoring national staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review impact, major capital project and maintenance turnaround work scopes, including work packs and quality control plans.
• Lead and mentor lead inspectors and understudies, set daily/monthly priorities and manage staffing for turnarounds.
• Implement special inspection programs such as CUI, Greylock and IR surveys, and oversee worst‑actor management.
• Perform technical reviews, ensure inspections are documented in Visions, and conduct Level I‑III fitness‑for‑service evaluations.
• Support NCR, TLR, PSV management processes and generate work orders for corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations, Angolanisation training, and maintain inspection, testing and maintenance plans.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in an engineering discipline.
• Inspector certifications from recognised bodies (API, CSWIP, ASME) and preferably Chartered Engineer status.
• Minimum 10‑15 years of experience in in‑service inspection, risk assessment and relevant standards.
• Ability to write and comprehend technical reports and communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Inspection Data Management Systems such as Visions and Meridium.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and NDT techniques (MT, PT, UT, RT).
• Experience with risk‑based inspection and fitness‑for‑service software (Visions, API).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
