Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer provides technical support for electrical, instrumentation, control and safety systems both onshore and offshore. The role involves troubleshooting, engineering design, and ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards across the FPSO Olombendo asset.

Key responsibilities

• Address electrical support issues and deliver technical assistance to operations teams onshore and offshore.
• Provide engineering and technical support for electrical equipment, instrumentation, DCS, control, fire‑and‑gas and safety systems, including offshore visits.
• Deliver frontline telecommunications support and manage software security and change processes.
• Ensure all modifications comply with legislation, Asset Verification Scheme, company specifications, standards and BAB Management of Change procedures.
• Generate work scopes, cost estimates and maintenance/modification work packs for offshore implementation.
• Maintain equipment specifications, standards and procedures; act as local point of contact for electrical safety rules.
• Conduct technical integrity audits and support safety performance KPIs.
• Assist with budgeting, expenditure control and CMMS‑driven maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within offshore or FPSO environments.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, asset verification schemes and management‑of‑change procedures.
• Ability to produce detailed work scopes, cost estimates and maintenance documentation.
• Experience coordinating offshore visits and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
