Design Researcher – Innovation & User Experience

About the role

Corgan’s Hugo team is seeking a Design Researcher to lead data‑driven research initiatives that shape the future of architecture and interior design. Working under the Hugo Director, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to generate insights, prototype solutions, and support innovative projects for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to conduct user studies, interviews, and surveys.
• Analyze and organize qualitative and quantitative data, creating clear research archives.
• Facilitate user testing sessions, on‑site observations, and visioning workshops.
• Develop data‑driven design concepts, prototypes, and proofs of concept.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership articles and internal research publications.
• Support the Hugo Director with website development, studio projects, and research methodology recommendations.
• Identify partnership opportunities with external experts and stay current on industry trends.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of professional experience in design research, user experience, or related fields.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with a user‑centered approach.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to clients and internal teams.
