Area Manager – Retail Expansion & Business Development

About the role

We are looking for a strategic retail leader to drive expansion, commercial growth, and operational excellence across two key markets for a fast‑growing beauty and luxury brand management company. The Area Manager will turn market insights into sales, mentor high‑performing teams, and build strong relationships with retail partners.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager and Brand Managers to design and execute high‑impact commercial activities.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities with retail partners and analyse market trends to optimise operations.
• Prepare and execute flawless new‑store opening decks, maintain premium POS standards, and lead in‑store campaign activation.
• Cultivate key account relationships, support contract development, and act as escalation point for customer complaints.
• Supervise, mentor, and upskill Retail Coordinators, set KPIs, and foster a high‑energy team culture.
• Monitor regional inventory, manage orders, resolve delivery discrepancies, and produce comprehensive market performance reports.
• Handle administrative tasks such as minute‑taking during brand meetings and managing local travel itineraries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marketing or retail management, preferably within beauty, cosmetics, or luxury goods.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding commercial sales targets.
• Practical knowledge of stock management and supply‑chain processes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
