Agriculture Field Technician

About the role

The Agriculture Field Technician will work directly with farmers across Angola, providing technical advice, training, and on‑site support to improve crop productivity and sustainability. This role combines field assessments, data collection, and customer engagement to drive adoption of high‑quality agricultural inputs.

Key responsibilities

• Guide farmers on crop management, pest control, soil health and sustainable practices.
• Organise and deliver training sessions and workshops on new techniques and technologies.
• Set up, install and manage demonstration plots according to company standards.
• Conduct annual field days and regular farm visits to assess crop conditions and farm management.
• Collect and analyse data on agricultural practices, yields and market trends; prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with local agricultural departments, NGOs and research institutions on joint programmes.
• Generate orders from agro‑dealers and farmers, handle complaints and ensure effective trade execution.
• Supervise in‑store branding, POS merchandising and display of promotional materials.

Required profile

• Diploma in Agriculture (degree preferred) with at least 2 years of field technical support experience.
• Strong knowledge of crop management, pest control and soil conservation.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively to client fields.
• Ability to work independently under varying weather conditions while adhering to health and safety regulations.
