Project Engineer / Site Interface Engineer (Angola)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Site Interface Engineer to serve as the primary link between on‑site operations in Angola and a global engineering delivery team. The role focuses on coordinating engineering activities, managing stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of brownfield capital projects throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between site‑based project teams and remote engineering centres.
• Collect site information, field data and technical clarifications to support engineering execution.
• Coordinate with site stakeholders, contractors, vendors and multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start‑up.
• Monitor contractor performance, manage risks and resolve technical queries.
• Lead procurement activities for long‑lead equipment and specifications.
• Ensure safety, cost, schedule, quality and operability stewardship within the project scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• 5‑10 years of experience in petrochemical, refining, energy or chemicals industries.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design standards, specifications, industry codes and safety requirements.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate and manage complex projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
