Laboratory Supervisor

About the role

Nestlé Angola is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead its analytical laboratory, providing chemical and sensory testing for raw, packaging, and finished goods. The role supports Nestlé’s Continuous Excellence program and aims to maintain zero‑defect quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the laboratory team to achieve objectives and quality awareness.
• Define, update and apply specific quality procedures, instructions and tools related to laboratory activities.
• Set operational objectives with the Factory Quality Manager and monitor quality KPIs.
• Support the Continuous Excellence program and ensure compliance with Nestlé’s Quality Management System.
• Prepare the unit for internal and external audits, troubleshoot non‑conformities and follow up corrective actions.
• Participate in HACCP and Food Safety teams, controlling CCPs and OPRPs.
• Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Maintain accurate, traceable quality records and document control systems.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, customer and company requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in laboratory management or a similar quality‑focused role.
• Proven ability to lead a team of experienced professionals.
• Strong analytical background and exposure to laboratory environments (PTC, R&D, NRC, etc.).
• Experience in a factory or market setting, preferably within FMCG.
