Data and Automation Systems Builder

About the role

THE/STUDIO is seeking a hands‑on builder to design, develop, and operate data‑driven automation across its product‑creation platforms. This remote, full‑time contractor will turn vague business needs into functional dashboards, pipelines, and real‑time alerts that power the company’s AI‑driven decision engine.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and extend the AI Data Engine that supports natural‑language queries and automated operational decisions.
• Design, implement, and maintain self‑sustaining data pipelines and BI dashboards (e.g., Looker/Looker Studio) that update without manual intervention.
• Develop real‑time monitoring and alerting mechanisms to surface process bottlenecks and failures.
• Collaborate closely with core engineers and the Automation Engineer to connect, clean, and automate the entire data ecosystem.
• Translate informal manager requests into end‑to‑end data solutions without formal specifications.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated problem‑solver who enjoys researching, building, breaking, and fixing systems.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with Looker or Looker Studio (or comparable BI tools).
• Strong data‑pipeline design and automation capabilities.
• Familiarity with building real‑time alerting and monitoring solutions.
