Completions Application Engineer

About the role

The Completions Application Engineer joins Baker Hughes' Completions and Wellbore Interventions team to deliver high‑quality services that optimise energy extraction and production. You will work closely with clients, sales, and service delivery teams to ensure flawless execution from pre‑planning through post‑job analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and act as liaison for operations planning, execution, and close‑out.
• Provide technical support for Baker Hughes completions tools and equipment.
• Assist the sales team with tender preparation and commercial term clarification.
• Analyse offset wells or similar jobs to identify hazards and incident potential.
• Design job programs, including risk mitigation and contingency plans, to meet client objectives and maximise revenue.
• Document calculations, simulations, and plan revisions for audit and team visibility.
• Participate in field incident investigations and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Fluent English with intermediate proficiency.
• Availability to be on call outside normal business hours.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in on‑shore and off‑shore operations.
