Finance Manager – FX Trading Operations (Angola)

About the role

Mamoru is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of its FX trading desk in Angola. The role involves overseeing daily accounting, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and coordinating settlements for foreign‑exchange transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage daily, monthly and year‑end accounts.
• Oversee middle‑ and back‑office activities of the trading desk, monitor market movements and provide analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Angola’s FX policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and implement operational policies to improve efficiency, security and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the settlement process for FX trades, including reconciliation of confirmations and verification of payment instructions.
• Liaise with banks, payment service providers and other external partners for cross‑border payments and settlements.
• Monitor and control risk exposure, set limits, track positions and report any breaches.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, reports and audit documentation.
• Train and supervise staff on operational best practices.
• Stay informed on trends and developments in FX and securities markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FX trading or payments operations, preferably in a managerial role.
• In‑depth knowledge of Angola’s FX banking regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High integrity, professionalism and ethical standards.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
