Project Assistant - Health

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support public health activities in Luanda, Angola. The role focuses on the "Iron Women: Safe Roads, Safe Lives" project, which addresses sexual and reproductive health needs of women truck drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of public health interventions related to the Iron Women project.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of project activities.
• Liaise with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups to facilitate access to health services.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to the Head of Programs and the Chief of Mission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in political/social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field, with at least two years of relevant professional experience; or a school diploma with four years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and international institutions.
• Experience working on public health projects and with vulnerable populations such as migrants and refugees.
• Prior experience with international humanitarian or development organizations.
