General Superintendent

About the role

KBR is delivering project management services for Sonangol’s multi‑billion‑dollar Lobito Refinery in Angola. The General Superintendent will lead daily site development, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance while coordinating technical and administrative teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and improve the construction site during early phases.
• Oversee subcontractors, review and process shop drawings.
• Document contract changes and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate daily with the owner, architect, engineer and other stakeholders.
• Monitor EPC contractors to ensure performance aligns with project requirements.
• Prepare and submit all required owner and internal reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience working in a field construction environment.
