Bilingual Legal Specialist – Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

The Legal Team is looking for a bilingual attorney to support commercial and contract matters across our oilfield services and equipment business. The role will involve reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements in both French and English, and partnering with global business development teams to protect the company’s strategic interests.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of contracts, identify risks and ensure consistency between French and English versions.
• Draft, negotiate and manage master service agreements, pricing agreements, software licences, bids, tenders, NDAs and sub‑contracts for upstream, midstream and downstream projects.
• Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders and support leaders on contract law and risk exposure.
• Manage legal operations initiatives, including outside‑counsel coordination and reporting on key performance metrics.
• Support global contracting needs while maintaining alignment with business objectives.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of commercial contract experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the oil & gas sector.
• Licensed to practice law.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple matters simultaneously.

Required skills

• Expertise in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in French and English.
• Strong analytical and legal writing abilities.
• Experience with outside‑counsel management and legal performance reporting.
