Senior Financial Accountant – English Speaking

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant who will be the first point of contact for all finance and control matters within our subsidiary. The role reports to the Regional Finance Director in South Africa and involves managing the full accounting function, preparing periodic reports, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports, including month‑end close and cash forecasts.
• Manage the complete financial accounting function and contribute to statutory and consolidation reporting.
• Analyze financial data and present findings in clear language for stakeholders.
• Provide commercial financial analysis for ad‑hoc projects, assessing cost‑effectiveness and viability.
• Evaluate financial information to identify strengths, weaknesses and cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales and regional teams to design customized deal structures and new business models.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, ensuring corrective actions are applied.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Coordinate audit activities, assist in drafting financial statements, and manage year‑end reporting and consolidation.
• Ensure full tax compliance and oversee financial transactions.

Required profile

• BCom Honours or equivalent degree.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience in finance management, accounting, statutory and consolidation reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Previous experience in a multinational environment is advantageous.
• Strong personality, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (data modelling and analysis).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Proficiency in consolidation reporting applications.
