Project Engineer / Site Interface Engineer (Angola)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer / Site Interface Engineer to serve as the primary liaison between site operations in Angola and our global engineering delivery team. You will ensure effective communication, gather site data, and coordinate stakeholders to deliver brownfield capital projects successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main interface between site‑based project teams and remote engineering centres.
• Collect field data, technical clarifications, and site information to support engineering execution.
• Coordinate with site stakeholders, engineering disciplines, contractors, and local vendors.
• Liaise with design leads and key stakeholders to resolve technical queries and emerging issues.
• Plan and execute brownfield project scopes from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up.
• Participate in concept selection, project screening, and development planning as needed.
• Manage safety, cost, schedule, quality, and operability stewardship for assigned projects.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Engage technical specialists and subject‑matter experts to support delivery.
• Coordinate procurement of long‑lead equipment and support specification development.
• Facilitate issue identification, risk management, and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in petrochemical, refining, energy, chemicals or similar process industries.
• Strong understanding of engineering design standards, specifications, industry codes and safety requirements.
• Proven project planning, coordination, interface management and technical decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
