Finance Manager – Angola

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our FX trading operations in Angola. The role involves overseeing the daily activities of the trading desk, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk exposure, and guaranteeing smooth settlement of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage daily, monthly and year‑end accounts.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the trading desk (middle/back office), monitor market movements and provide market analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local FX policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency, security and customer satisfaction.
• Manage settlement processes for FX transactions, including trade confirmation reconciliation, payment instruction verification and issue resolution.
• Liaise with banks, payment service providers and other external parties to facilitate FX and cross‑border payments.
• Monitor and control risk exposure, set limits, track positions and report breaches.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, reports and audits.
• Train and supervise staff on operational processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FX trading or payments operations, preferably in a lead or manager role.
• Knowledge of the Angola FX banking regulatory environment and market dynamics.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and ethics.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
